Dress Code

Cumorah Academy enforces a uniform dress code for all students. Students are required to wear the full school uniform on a daily basis unless otherwise notified. Non-compliance of the school dress code will result in consequences as outlined in Discipline Policy. The dress code is as follows:

BOYS:

  • Shirts must be the approved uniform shirt in red, yellow or blue with logo imprinted on the upper left chest available only at Campus Club.
  • Pants or Shorts must be navy cotton uniform style, available at Campus Club. They may be purchased from another store as long as they are similar to the uniform style at Campus Club. Shorts must be no shorter than three(3) inches above the knee.
  • Belts are required for all middle school boys. They may be plain leather or cloth with a simple buckle or latch and must be worn at all times.
  • Shoes are to be plain colors and free of any decoration.
  • Socks are to be solid school colors or plain white.

GIRLS:

  • Shirts must be the approved uniform shirt in red, yellow or blue with logo imprinted on the upper left chest available only at Campus Club.
  • Pants, Capris, Shorts, Skorts/Skirts or Jumpers must be navy cotton or plaid uniform style, available at Campus Club. Navy items may be purchased from another store as long as they are similar to the uniform style at Campus Club. Plaid is available only at Campus Club. Shorts, skorts/skirts, and jumpers must be no shorter then three (3) inches above the knee.
  • Shoes are to be plain colors and free of any decoration. No opened toed sandals or flip-flops. Heels on shoes may not exceed one (1) inch.
  • Socks or Tights are to be solid school colors (red, yellow and blue) or white. No patterns or stripes are permitted.

OTHER:

  • Shirts must be tucked in at all times!
  • Hair must be clean and combed. Boys hair length may not exceed past their collar and must be cut over the ears. No extreme hair colors or dyes. Hair styles may not be extreme or distracting. Spiked hair may not exceed 1/2 inch spikes. No Mohawks.
  • No “heely” style shoes are permitted on campus at any time.
  • Girls’ earrings may not exceed past their collar.
  • No pull-over, hooded sweatshirts are allowed. The approved uniform shirt must be visible at all times.
  • All coats, jackets, and zippered sweatshirts and/or sweaters must be solid school colors of red, yellow or blue and free from graphics, writing and logos.
  • No facial piercing will be allowed.

Free Dress Days

On occasion we designate certain days as “Free Dress Days” . Although uniforms are not required on these approved days, students must follow Cumorah Academy’s Free Dress Day Guidelines, as follows:

  • All clothing must be clean and free of any rips, tears, and/or frayed edges.
  • All shirts must have a minimum cap sleeve. No tank tops, sleeve-less or halter style tops are permitted.
  • No bare midriff tops are permitted.
  • No characters, wording, or advertisements on shirts
  • No hats, visors, scarves or bandanas.
  • Shorts and skirts must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee.
  • No sandals, flip-flops or opened toed styles shoes.
  • Heels on shoes may not  exceed one (1) inch.
  • No “heely” style shoes.

Non-compliance of Free Dress Day Guidelines will result in consequences outlined in our Discipline Policy.
